Multicultural activities
We not only encourage our Chinese community members to get involved in Canadian culture life but also introduce Chinese culture to the larger Canadian society of different ethnic groups. We celebrate Canadian festivals like Christmas and Saint-Valentine’s Day. We organize various activities such as sugaring off, apple picking, pumpkin picking, and so on. Since the year of 2006, we started to participate in and give performance on International Day of the city of Dollard-des-Ormeaux. Since 2012, we started to attend Kirkland day and show all the residences the Chinese culture. On April 28, we participated in the Intercultural Youth Music and Dance Festival organized by Youths Stars Foundation and won the prices of “the Best Organizer” and “the Best Costumes”.
